Who Wrote Quran?

The Qur’an is the last inspired book sent down by Allah to our Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W). Quran is the only book Which Allah Himself has taken the responsibility of preserving. Therefore, Allah says in Surah Al-Hijr:  Surely we have sent down this Quran and surely we are its guardians. (Ayat 9). According to this verse, there is no one who can change even one letter of the Quran (As was changed in the previous Holy books). This book is safe till the Day of Resurrection.  If we look at the order of the Qur’an, then the Qur’an exists in the same order that Allah gave to Muhammad (S.A.W.W) and then the Sahaba (R.A) wrote in the and continued to be written in the same order.

History of Quran:

The Quran was revealed to Muhammad (S.A.W.W) over a period of 23 years. Any verses were revealed by Allah, they would be memorized and these verses were written on various materials such as paper, cloth, bone fragments, and leather. In the time of Caliph Hazrat Abu Bakr when during the battle of Yamama, 70 memorizers of the Quran (Hafiz e Quran) were killed. Hazrat Umar bin Khattab became concerned and appealed to him to compile the Qur’an into book.

How the Quran was written:

When the memorizers of the Qur’an were martyred in the battle of Yamama, Then the Caliph Hazrat Abu Bakr formed a delegation under the supervision of Hazrat Zaid bin Saabit to write the Qur’an in book form. This delegation of 12 people, including famous figures such as Ali ibn Abi Talib, Usman ibn Affan, Abdullah ibn Masood, Talha ibn Ubaidullah, Ubayy ibn Kab, Khalid ibn al Waleed, Huzhaifah and Saleem, This 12 delegation of people gathered at the house of Hazrat Umar and collected all the material on which the Quranic verses were written. In addition, the memorized verses of the Companions were heard in the presence of two witnesses.

Thus, all the most important verses in the Qur’an, that describe the morality, faith, ideal stories of the prophets, creation of Humans etc.  Which believers should trust they were all collected.  Sayed Ibn al Aas, who was famous for his beautiful writing, he wrote Qur’anic verses in gazelle Skin. The Qur’an was recited in the presence of all the people and no one objected to it. The 33,000 Companions agreed that every letter of the Qur’an is in the right place.

What Does Quran Mean?

The Quran is the holy book of Muslims. Quran is derived from the verb qara’a which means “to read,” and “to recite”. Quran refers to Allah’s revealed truth. The Quran is the final revelation from Allah to our last prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W), through Gabriel (A.S). There are 30 Siparahs and 114 surahs in the Quran; every surah is divided by the verses. But, Because Muslims around the world do not understand Arabic, that’s why the Qur’an is written in different languages. So that along with its recitation, it can be understood as well its meanings.

Right Guidance:

The Holy Quran was sent as a book of guidance for all humans. The Quran describes itself as a book of guidance for mankind in Surah Al Baqra 2 Ayat 185: During the month of Ramadan, the Quran was sent down as a guide to the people with Clear Signs of true guidance and as the Criterion (between right and wrong). So those of you who live to see that month should fast it, and whoever is sick or on a journey should fast the same number of other days instead. Allah wants ease and not hardship for you so that you may complete the number of days required, Allah for what He has guided you to, and gives thanks to Him. Quran contains some basic information that is not found in the other holy books. The Quran is considered the sacred word of Allah and it represents other books. The Quran is the source of guidance for today’s Muslims.

Quran Summary:

The Quran helps Muslims along the straight path in various matters of life. The Quran confirms and reminds the world of the teachings of the past prophets. In which there is an important part available of the story of Prophets. In the same way, the Quran describes in detail the message of happiness for the good people and for those who disobey Allah painful punishment for the bad people. In this book, there are verses of healing, asking for forgiveness and goodness for Muslims. The original purpose of the Quran is to advise, but still, we read it for the reward front. This is the reason that we have been deprived of the guidance of Allah. So we don’t just have to read the Quran; we have to understand it so that we can know its true purpose.

How Can You Learn More with Online Quran Classes?

Since the late 1800s, in the modern era, Muslims from all over the world, along with people of other faiths, have immigrated to the U.S. They have migrated to make a better life for themselves and to contribute their unique talents and sensibilities to the ever-evolving American social matrix. A dramatic increase in native-born American Muslims and converts to Islam has taken place as well in the last fifty years. This provided new generations of Muslims prepared to interact fruitfully with fellow Americans and raise the contributions of the community to higher levels.

Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world. But still, many facts about Muslims are not well known in some places in America, and most Americans – who live in a country with relatively fewer Muslims– know little or nothing about Islam. That’s why we are playing our part to spread Islam in this region. Our online Quran classes in San Jose are helping Muslims and non-Muslims both to understand Islam.

Where is San Jose?

City, seat (1850) of Santa Clara County San Jose, west-central California, the U.S. San Jose is about 50 miles (80 km) southeast of San Francisco, located in the Santa Clara Valley along Coyote Creek and the Guadalupe River. It is known for its sunny, mild weather.

Hence, as the third-largest city in California, it is also the most populous component of the extensive metropolitan area around the bay that, in addition to San Francisco, includes Oakland. Surrounding communities include Milpitas (northeast), Alum Rock (east), Los Gatos (southwest), Campbell and Santa Clara (west), and Sunnyvale (northwest).

Islam in San Jose:

Muslims are one of the smallest minorities in Costa Rica (San Jose). Thus, the number of Muslims in Costa Rica could be between 1000 and 1500 people, mostly immigrants from Algeria, India, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Morocco, Egypt, Somalia, Pakistan, Palestine, and Syria.

Currently, there are three mosques in Costa Rica. Presided over by Jennifer Rashida Torres, The Light, and Faith Mosque, also Sunni is located in downtown San José. Because of the much smaller number of Mosques in San Jose, Muslims living here prefer religious learning online. Our online Quran classes in San Jose are a great help for those who want to learn and understand the Quran in a proper way.

Are You Willing To Learn Quran Online in Australia?

Checklist to find the best online Quran tutor

Learning Quran is a great deed that brings you closer to your Lord (SWT). The same goes for the act of teaching. When an individual who has learned the Quran decided to impart its knowledge to others, he/she earns a massive reward from Allah (SWT). Plus, it is Sadqa-e-Jaariyah (Continuous charity).

This is the reason why Muslims are highly particular about learning and teaching the Quran. They strive to get the proper knowledge, and they ensure the same for their kids too.

However, finding a reliable online Quran tutor is not an easy feat in this era. We are surrounded by people who want to make money by deception and false information. Thus, aspiring students need to filter out credible teachers from a lot of scams.

No matter if you are searching for online Quran classes Australia or online Quran classes in Saudi Arabia; the possibility of coming across a deceptive platform is relatively high. Before you finalize your decision to learn Quran online in Australia, here is a checklist to help you navigate in the right direction:

Native Arab Teacher

One of the essential qualities that give a Quran tutor privilege is that they belong to an Arab background. The Quran was initially sent down in the Arabic language, and if an individual comes from the same background, they will inevitably have more command of it.

If you want to opt for online Quran classes Australia or any other region, no person could teach you better than a native Arab. This is because Arabic is quite a complex language. The difference of a single letter could change the entire meaning of a word. Making such mistakes in the speech of Allah (SWT) is a colossal sin.

Experience and Knowledge

A well-versed Quran tutor will have extensive experience in teaching the Quran. It is not the basic knowledge but knowledge that is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Quran.

In this era of virtual technology, people often fall prey to the deceivers who have merely read a few verses of the Quran and start calling them the Holy Book tutors. Bear in mind, if you need reliable information and want yourself to read this book like a pro, you must learn from a scholar. Whether you learn Quran online in Australia, Canada, or Pakistan; you must carry out a background check of your selected tutor.

It has to be a teacher who knows all the Tajweed rules or can recite the Quran by heart. Plus, this individual must have years of experience in this field. Such individuals are aware of all the techniques and skills required to deliver sound information to their students.

Thus, when you look up on Google about online Quran academy Australia or UK, you must examine each page’s history. Check out their experience in the field and the reviews on their portal.

Teacher’s Reputation and Reviews

Before you register at the portal, it is also highly integral to check out their reviews. How are their customers rating them? What do the past students think about this platform?

Plus, you can examine the reputation of online Quran academy Australia or any other country on social media too.

All of this is important because there are several unverified Quran tutors out there. As parents and students, it is our responsibility to understand who is more credible and only fill their pockets.

Moreover, ask the students of the Quran tutor assigned to you. Find out the opinions of his/her past students. Are they happy? Was their Quran reading improved?

All of this will allow you to make an informed decision. Getting information from various sources has become relatively easy today due to the expansive nature of social media and websites.

The School of Thought

One of the common errors people usually make is that they do not give any importance to the school of thought of the chosen platform. Although we are all Muslims and reading the same book, there are some apparent differences in a few segments’ lifestyles and beliefs.

Typically, there are four schools of thoughts in Islam:

Hanafi
Shafi’i
Maliki
Hanbali

Even though they all follow the Islam and Quran, there are a bunch of definite differences. One has to pick a platform according to their school of thought carefully. Apart from this, there are also sects in Islam. You must choose the sect to whom you belong. When you learn Quran online in Australia, Canada, or the UK; there is a high chance to come across portals that don’t belong to your school of thought. Thus, you should conduct a thorough background check before you register.

Teaching Methodology

The teaching method adopted by the tutor will leave a lifelong impact on your learning. It is, therefore, essential to understanding the teaching methods used by the online Quran tutor.

Ask them if they will use the latest apps and software? Also, ask them how long does it usually takes a student to learn this course? Besides this, you can also ask the teacher about the curriculum they intend to follow. When you look up online Quran teaching Australia or Canada, it is vital to inquire about the curriculum they are following.

Being aware of all these factors will help you to stay prepared for the classes. The right Quran teacher is someone who knows how to create an interactive learning environment. They analyze the learning needs of each student and modify the pace of their course accordingly.

Teaching Ethics

The ethical conduct followed by the Quran tutor is yet another trait that makes a massive difference in the learning of a student. It is vital to check out how all entities in your specific location are following ethical conduct. When you look up online Quran teaching Australia or Canada, you should also evaluate their ethical standpoint.

Make sure you choose a Quran teacher who adopts Islamic ethics and follows the Sunnah of Prophet (PBUH).

Parting Thoughts

This checklist gives us an understanding that choosing the right Quran tutor is vital to make sure that you receive credible knowledge of the Quran. If a tutor or a platform follows all the qualities provided above, that would be the best place to start your Quran learning.

We hope you will find a reputable Quran tutor for yourself or your child. Best Quran Teaching is the platform that has gained a massive student base due to its vast and experienced tutors team. Please register for our trial classes and check out how it goes for you!

Let’s start changing this perception from today. We witness the miracles of Allah, day and night. The transformation of the seasons, day and night, modification of the landscapes, and even our entire body speaks of the signs of the power of Allah (SWT).

Currently, we are living in constant fear of a disease that took the entire world by surprise. Also known as the Coronavirus, it has taken the whole world by storm.

It is about time that we wake up and realize the real purpose of our life. If we have not connected with the Quran yet, we still have time.

In case you are clueless about where to begin, let us show you the way.

Recite Quran With Tajweed – the first step

The purpose of tajweed’s science is to make the reader proficient in the recitation of the Quran. It teaches how to observe every letter’s correct pronunciation with characteristics and rulings that apply to it.

When learning Tajweed, the reciter can recite the Quran according to how it was revealed on the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). It touches their heart’s chords and makes them form a unique connection with Allah (SWT).

Benefits of Learning Tajweed Online

There are many Prophetic traditions which promise multiple rewards for the recitation of the Quran.

Among such Ahadith are:

  • “Whoever read a letter of the Qur’an, he has ten rewards”
  • “Whoever is engaged in the recitation of the Qur’an, understands its meanings and teaches its sciences, he is best among them.”
  • “The best of you is he who learns the Qur’an and teaches it.”

In light of these Ahadith, it becomes mandatory that we follow a structure when reciting the Quran. When we recite the Quran with its due properties, it will change our hearts and lives.

Living in hyper-technological age, learning Tajweed has become easier than ever before. You can quickly learn Tajweed online with Quran tutors from across the world. Following are some of the benefits of learning the Quran with Tajweed online:

Tajweed of Quran is an extensive study that covers different domains such as pronunciation and vocals. When you get individual attention from the online Quran tutors, you can freely tell them about your preferred learning speed. They devise a curriculum that fits a person’s need and makes sure that they don’t feel overburdened with the load of work.

Productive Time Usage

One of the critical benefits of reciting the Quran with Tajweed is that you productively utilize your time. Instead of wasting hours on social media and games, you can study the Quran and gain rewards from Allah (SWT). In a hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) stated that those who can recite the Quran meticulously and precisely will be among the company of Allah’s angels.

Students who find it hard to take time out of their busy routine and manage to do so should not undermine their efforts. They are gaining rewards from Allah (SWT) for every ounce of effort they put into this endeavor.

Concluding Comments

The journey to read the Quran with proficiency will not be an easy one. Many students struggle with appropriate recitation. Such people should always motivate themselves with the following Hadith:

“The one who recites the Quran precisely will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels, and as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering and stumbling through its verses, then he will have twice that reward.”

4 Reasons You Should Learn Quran Online

The first thought that comes to your mind when thinking about learning Quran online is – Is it beneficial? We would give you one reply to that – “YES!” About a decade ago, if you ever discussed with people that you want to learn Quran online, they would tell you about all the cons of tagging along. However, the recent technological developments have finally changed the scenario. You can learn from native teachers, sitting at their desks, living seven seas apart.

Platforms like The Best Quran Teaching are the ultimate avenues you can seek assistance from. You can choose from different courses, such as Quran Recitation, Quran Tajweed, and Quran Tafseer. Also, these websites cater to people from different age groups. If you want to enroll your child in either of these programs, you can do so in very easy steps.

In case you are not sure whether to move ahead, here are some of the reasons to convince you more.

  1. It is flexible

When you study with Quran tutors on Skype, it gives you an opportunity to design your own schedule. The tutors usually ask you to pick a schedule that works for you. This is quite helpful when you have school-going kids or a hectic work routine. The teacher will allow you to pick a time according to your location and feasibility.

  1. You can choose your own pace

When you study the Quran online from online tutors, you get to choose your speed. Unlike the on-site classes where the entire class runs at the same pace, online platforms bring you an opportunity to choose a speed that works for you. This is quite helpful for kids who are slow learners or new converts.

A good online Quran teaching forum allows you to have a conversation with your Quran tutor. You can have an interactive session with the tutor where you tell him/her all about your expected outcomes from this course. Also, tell them the pace that you prefer for your kid or yourself. The online Quran tutor designs a curriculum according to the need of every student.

  1. One-on-One Sessions

Online Quran Teaching has become a norm these days. During the classroom setting in an Islamic Institute, the students usually have to attend a lesson and be a part of the group. However, things are quite different in the online Quran set-up. Every student gets individual attention from the teacher.

The Quran tutor makes sure that there is only one student during the lesson and they pay entire attention to that student. One-on-one interaction brings more chances for the student to grasp knowledge. They can freely ask questions from the instructor and request repetition of lessons if the concepts are not clear.

  1. Authentic and native tutors

Oftentimes, parents want their child to recite Quran in the same accent and tone as the natives. It might be possible that they do not have enough facilities available nearby. When they expose their child to online teaching of the Quran, they can enroll them in different courses where natives are teaching Tajweed online or a certified tutor teaches Quran Tafseer online.

Learning from the native tutors can leave an excellent impact on the recitation and dialect of the learner.

Final Words

Thus, we arrive at the conclusion that learning Quran online comes with impressive benefits. It is quite probable for Muslims living in Western World to have limited access to Islamic resources and centers. Thankfully, technology has made things simpler, enabling people to connect with experts living far away and consume gems of knowledge.

May Allah (SWT) reward us all for our efforts and make us enter the Jannah soon. Aameen!

Causes and Effects of Distance from the Quran in Muslim Society

For Muslims, the Quran is a word of Allah revealed to transform human life. It was meant to pull them out of darkness and show them the way of light. Sadly, the state of Muslim Society today is far from what was idealized by Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). Islam is facing a wave of uncertainty by many Muslims. The part played by social media and the Western-initiated propaganda are eventually causing a discontentment among the Muslims. Quran Effects

While most of us are playing the blame game, it is imperative to understand the part played by us. What is the reason of our deteriorating relationship with the Islam? What role can we play to ensure that this bond stays intact?

This blog will help the readers evaluate their spiritual state and judge if it needs a refurbish.

Causes of Distance from the Quran

As materialism slowly seeps in our lives, the space between Muslims and their basic faith has widened. There is a stark difference between practices of the ordinary Muslims in the past and the current practitioners of faith.

The luxurious lifestyle coupled with glamor demonstrated on the social media has impressed Muslim youth to the core. They are more interested to have a new iPhone in their hands instead of the Quran. The idea of being well-versed in modern education is more tempting for the young minds as compared to the idea of being well-versed about the Quran.

Along with that, constant Islam phobic thoughts initiated by the Western media are slowly polluting the minds of our next generation. There are doubts in the minds of many Muslims which stop them from pursuing their faith.

Moreover, the fact that Muslims parents are highly concerned about the worldly education of their child is making oodles of difference in their inclination towards Islam. The fact that most parents worry about sending their child to the best college or university instead of an Islamic institute is drifting children away from Islam. There is a gradual growth of perception where people believe that admitting a child to the Islamic Institute will cause a negative effect on their social standing.

Fundamentally, Islam is the continuation of faith that was sent down to the Prophets before Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). It is said in the Quran:

“Say (O Mohammed), We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham and Ismael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and that which was vouchsafed unto Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered” (3/84)

This verse and many more lay the foundation of Islamic belief system. However, some scholars of the current Muslim world have created disunity through their unacceptable belief system. Instead of guiding the Ummah to practice one ideology, there are multiple ideologies functioning at the same time. This causes a rupture in the Muslim front. Consequently, many young Muslims and converts lose heart in this prestigious religion. Quran Effects

Effects of Distance from the Quran

After reflecting on the causes, it is vital to explore the impact of this widening gap. Here are some consequences of distance from the Quran:

  • Growing love for worldly luxuries
  • Lack of affection for Islam
  • No strength among Muslims to defend their faith
  • Doubts and confusions about evident Islamic laws
  • Disunity in the Muslim Society
  • Uncertainty about the Day of Judgment
  • Humiliation in the community as Allah doesn’t love a person who turns away from the Quran
  • Doubts and bad perceptions about the practicing Muslims

Final Thoughts

There is a massive debate that talks about what drives Muslims away from their religion. At the same time, it is essential to highlight the ways we can adopt to narrow down this gap. We have to stand together, work on our rectification, and fix the loopholes in faith of people around us.

We hope our readers will figure out a creative way to do so. Don’t forget to tell us what your strategy is!

COVID 19 – An Opportunity to Strengthen Connection to the Quran

The onset and rapid transmission of novel Coronavirus have taken the whole world by surprise. Where there is a whole body of scientists and researchers working to find its cure, the religious faction is taken aback. People are firing queries at them, to which they see no definite answer.

Is it a punishment from Allah? A test? Or is the Day of Qiyamah about to come?

Quite honestly, debates like these serve no purpose. Our religion advises us to focus on a bigger picture. Never lose our habit of being grateful and patient. Yet, the confusion that many people face these days is how to observe the above two (patience and gratefulness)?

The entire world is in chaos, and we can’t help but feel upset.

The Good that Tags Along

Now, let’s look at the brighter side. COVID-19 has hit us, precisely at the time when we are about to enter the happiest time of the year – RAMADAN!

Typically, Muslims celebrate this month with a rejuvenated faith each year. The mosques stay full, and conflicts in the society level down to zero (almost!). The faces are happy, and everyone in the community stands as a united front.

However, this year things are different. Mosques have been closed to curb further outbreak and people are under strict social distancing practice. Many of us feel tense. And we must fight away the thoughts that break our spirits. We should try to view the half full glass, instead of moping for the half-empty one.

This virus is a blessing in disguise, if we use our insight. It is a reminder that Allah is the Most Powerful, no matter how much the human boasts around about his knowledge. It is about time we realize this and re-establish our lost connectivity with the Divine.

Establishing Divine Connection

The lock-down can be an excellent opportunity for you to strengthen your relationship with the Quran.

Let’s see how:

We can read more Quran

Being at home, scrolling down social media brings no benefit. The only thing we feel after browsing our phones these days is STRESS!

The best way to beat anxiety is through Quran. Now you can utilize most of your time reading the Quran. That Online Tajweed Class you were delaying for so long can now be taken easily. You also get more time after Fajr and Maghrib prayers.

So instead of folding your mat, keep sitting. Take out your Mushaf and beautifully recite the Quran. You will feel more hopeful and optimistic.

We can understand the translation

The main reason why most people do not pick up the practice of understanding the Quran is their busy schedule. They assume that they can understand Tafseer at a later part of their lives. Perhaps when they have retired or have fewer domestic responsibilities.

They ignore the Master Plan of the Almighty. How could they presume they will live to see those days?

This virus is teaching us many new things. Among that, one lesson we have learned is – no one knows what is coming next!

It is time we set our priorities right. Understanding the Word of Allah is not optional. It is the purpose of our life (among others). So during this lockdown, you can enroll yourself in the Online Tafseer Lessons. A few days in the classroom, and you will feel a difference in your perspective. Insha’Allah, you will enjoy it to such an extent that you won’t feel snapping out of these lessons even when things go back to normal.

We can memorize the Quran

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) said: “Indeed, Allah will elevate some people with this book, and he will degrade others with it.”

None of us wants to fall into the latter category. Why not make this possible during the lock-down? We can devote more of our time to finish the memorization we have left midway. And if you are someone who always wished to begin the Hifdh journey. Now is the best time to do that!

You can seek assistance from an Online Quran Tutor or ask someone in the family who is proficient at reading the Quran. Remember, this is a noble endeavor. When you set out on it, you will watch miracles happening in your life.

No one is asking you to complete the entire Quran memorization. If it is hard for you, you can memorize a few surahs only. When you start reciting them during your Taraweeh in Ramadan, you will have a sense of extraordinary happiness.

Verdict – COVID 19 will make you a better and stronger Muslim!

We will repeat – do not let this time of crisis break your Imaan.

Do not waste these hours on social media or watching movies. Because you will end up more depressed and anxious. Do not let these things break you!

It is a golden opportunity to recreate your Divine Connectivity. You can make these moments precious by spending more time with the Quran. With uplifted spirit and friendship of Allah, nothing can bring you down.

Take this therapy for a month, at least, and let us know how you feel.
